

Dr Sally Lambert is a psychiatrist with a special interest in addiction medicine.
She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Medical Board of Australia and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Lambert is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee at Toronto Private Hospital and Consultant Psychiatrist at Maitland Private Hospital. She has interests in mood, anxiety, trauma and addictive disorders. She specialises in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of individuals who are experiencing problems with their mental health due to the use of alcohol or any other substance. Dr Lambert provides treatment on both an inpatient (hospital) and outpatient basis.
Dr Lambert is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, and an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. Dr Lambert has contributed to the design and delivery of the course: Mental Disorders, Personality Disorders and Crime at the University of New South Wales. She has also recently designed and delivered several stage two lectures for the Hunter New England Training Program of Psychiatry Registrars, endorsed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. These lectures centre around how Addictive Disorders present across the lifespan, and how Addictive Disorders present in specific populations.
In addition to her private psychiatric practice, Dr Lambert was for a number of years a staff specialist Addiction Psychiatrist in the Hunter New England Local Health District.
